The BMW 3 Series Touring

After the patent drawings of the new BMW 3 Series Touring, released midweek this week, at the end of the working week, information about when this model will be officially introduced. According to Automobile Magazine, this will happen in March next year at the Geneva Motor Show.

Engines for caravan will be taken from the limousine. There will be several gasoline and diesel engines available. We recall, the new “3 series” sedan is offered with a four-cylinder petrol engine 320i which has 184 hp (135 kW), while a more powerful 330i has 258 hp (190 kW). The diesel option is also four-cylinder, 318d with 150 hp (110 kW) and 320d with 190 hp (140 kW). Initially, the only regular six-cylinder in the offer will be 330d with 265 hp (195 kW). It is also the only version of the new BMW 3 Series which will be available at the start of the sale with a 4-wheel drive.
Later, BMW will expand its range of powerful M340i, powered by a regular 6-cylinder 3.0 turbo petrol with 387 hp and 500 Nm. The plan is also a 330e plug-in hybrid.

Unlike Audi and Mercedes, which in their rival models offer the extreme sport variants of the RS4 Avant and C63 Estate, BMW is currently not planning a M version of the caravan of the new Series 3.
