It seems that within the Volkswagen group, a fight is in the race where the brands compete who will make the fastest SUV.

The Porsche’s main accent, of course, is Cayene, while Lamborghini introduced the new Urus last year. Also, Audi recently unveiled the Q8, and is already working hard on developing its performance version of the RS Q8, which, if it is to be trusted, will be the strongest SUV within the VW group.
However, only Bentley Bentayga, at least for now, has managed to become the recorder, and this is on the rise “Pikes Peak”.
Namely, this year’s race to cloud, veteran Rhys Millen with the Bentley Bentayg model, finished in 10 minutes and 49.9 seconds.

Representative of Bentley, Rhys Millen. It was almost two seconds faster than the previous record. Through 156 curves and constant climb, Millen drove an average of 107 km / h.
During this rise, all 600 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque had a major role to play, developing the hexagonal W12 aggregate of the Bentayg model.

Regarding his success, Millen said: “The proof that Bentayga is actually a good fact is that it’s a luxury SUV with minimal modifications that ended this rise in less than 11 minutes. It all speaks about the performance and mechanization of this model. ” “I felt great during the ride,” he added.
In honor of the new record on the “Pikes Peak”, Bentley will construct 10 copies of the Bentayga model in a special edition.
