David Brabham intends to return to the “24 Hours Le Mans” race and wants to win the same car with a new car built by his company.

Namely, Brabham recently passed a new BT62 hyper car, which was built by his company, and said that in this not too distant future, this car will be able to take part in the 24 Hours Le Mans race.

David’s father, Jack Brabham, is known for having won three world championships in Formula One, and in 1966 he did it in a car bearing his name and whose designer he was. After the recent Brabham’s “revival” again, David wants to do the same at the “24 Hours Le Mans” race.

Namely, the younger Brabham achieved several victories in the class in which he competed, and in 2009 he won the car of Peugeot.

The production of the Brabham BT62 will be limited to just 70 cars, and it’s a car that is designed to run a track that is lighter than one ton and has all the features of a real racing car.

Although it remains to be seen whether this model will be competitive in races, recent changes in the rules announced by the FIA mean that the current LMP1 series is replaced by hyper cars
that are legal for public road rides.

Accordingly, it is possible that BT62, or some of its versions, take part in a race, in competition with the Aston Martin Valkyrie, McLaren Senna, Mercedes-AMG Project One and the Toyota GR Super Sport.

As far as the BT62 itself is concerned, it, besides having a light weight of 1,000 kilograms, has an atmospheric V8 engine of 5.4 liters working capacity that develops 700 horsepower and 667 Nm of torque, and which is connected to the six-speed sequential gearbox over which power sends back wheels.
