Does the KTM 790 DUKE enter the FLAT TRACK championship?

Looks like MotoGP is not enough. KTM will have a team in the American Flat Track Championship from 2019.

KTM is again dominated by the motocross championship, for more than a decade it is unbeatable on the Dakar relay and wins in all off-road races around and between. Similarly, only KTM is present in both MotoGP and Moto2 and Moto3, but the motto “Ready to Race” obviously does not know the boundaries. The latest adventure is related to the entry into the American Flat Track Championship. The KTM motorsport 450 SX-F has been revamped with dusty ovals so far, but in 2019, the AFT Singles, for single cylinder models, will feature the factory team.

And that is just the beginning, or the preparation of the ground for the upcoming KTM to include in the royal class AFT Twins, which competes with two-cylinder mid-range motorcycles. It is not difficult to assume that the KTM 790 Duke would be very competitive in the class currently dominating the Indian with the FTR 750, in front of the Harley-Davidson XG750R (with the highly elaborated aggregate from the Street 750 model), while the order is complemented by the private Yamaha MT-07, the Kawasaki Z650 or the Ducati Monster 821. As the matter now stands, KTM 790 Duke could be included in the 2020 championship.
