Ford presented its new Eagle Squadron Mustang GT at the Goodwood Speed Festival!
Designed as a homage to the legendary Pilot Team Eagle Squadron and the 100th birthday of the Royal Aviation Unit of Great Britain, this unique Ford Mustang was created in collaboration with professional Drifter Vaughn Gittin.
His participation in the project is obviously due to the fact that the car possesses the RTR widebody kit made of carbon fiber.
However, the changes do not fit here, as this special Ford Mustang is equipped with a new front spoiler and a RTR illuminated mask (grille) cooling system. There are also aerodynamic extensions on the thresholds and an additional wing on the already existing spoiler. Finally, the entire car is covered with a camouflage design used by Spitfire Hunters (aircraft) operated by Eagle Squadron
In the cabin the leather interior is highlighted, as well as the Recaro sports seats with the emblem of the team “Eagle Squadron”. Another unique detail is transmission lever made from parts of the F-35, on which the emblem is engraved.
As far as performance is concerned, this car has a five-liter V8 engine equipped with the Ford Performance Compressor. Thanks to this, the aggregate develops 700 horsepower and 826 Nm of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission, through which power is sent to the rear wheels.
There is also a RTR Tactical Performance suspension package that includes MagneRide adjustable shock absorbers. There are also RTR Aero 7 wheels in the size of 20 inches around which the Nitto NT555 is fitted with tires.
After being premiered at the Goodwood Speed Festival, this model of Mustang will also be exhibited at a fundraising campaign to develop the aviation program.
