The new generation Hyundai Santa Fe will soon be sold with two versions of electrified powertrain drives, which is part of the company’s plan to increase the number of electric and hybrid vehicles in their range.
Although hybrid powertrains are a novelty for the Santa Fe model, for Hyundai car makers, they are not. Namely, Hyundai in its range already has an Ioniq Plug-in hybrid, but there is little chance that the Santa Fe will have the same powertrain as on it.
On the other hand, it is entirely possible that Hyundai will develop a brand new hybrid system for its SUV model, and there is a chance that the hybrid version will also include a two-liter petrol engine from the Kia Optima PHEV.

The new generation of the Santa Fe model arrived at the showroom earlier this month. It is currently available with the CRDi R diesel engine with a capacity of 2.2 liters, which has a catalytic converter and particle filter. It develops 197 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque, and power is sent either to the front or all wheels.
Those who opt for a four-wheel drive version will also get an HTRAC system that offers Sport, Comfort and Eco driving modes.
