The Jeep Grand Wagoneer Trackhawk has become a kind of “unicorn” in the automotive industry since premiere is deferred since 2014.
Namely, this model was announced in 2014, that is, then its official premiere was supposed to be held, but it was replaced in 2018. This year, however, his presentation has been delayed, and it is said that Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be premiered in 2022.
The Road and Track Magazine has come up with a document from ZF (Transmitter Manufacturer), which lists a number of models in the production phase but also those who have not reached this phase yet, who will use the eighth automatic transmission of this manufacturer. Among them is the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
This is interesting in itself, but it is even more interesting that the Grand Wagoneer Trackhawk model is mentioned in that document. The name “Trackhawk” is known to us because at the car show in New York last year, Jeep company introduced the model Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
This model is underneath the hood, hiding the V8 6.2 liter aggregate with a compressor, which developed 707 horsepower and 874 Nm of torque. With the aggregate associated with an eighth automatic automatic gearbox, this model accelerated from 0.5 d0 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and reached a maximum speed of 289 km / h.
Now to get back to Grand Wagoneer. Namely, the document states that this model, with Tracjhawk designation, will have a V8 6.2 liter working capacity that will develop 719 horsepower! If that’s true, then this model will be more powerful than the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, whose improved aggregate now develops 717 horsepower and 888 Nm of torque.
Jeep’s representative, on the question about the Trackhawk version of the Grand Wagoneer model, refused to respond, which is not surprising, given that even the standard model has not yet been fired.
Of course, there is a chance and it is a bug in the document. In any case, we will have to wait for the premiere to learn more about this model.
