KTM 790 ADVENTURE R
KTM released official photographs of the upcoming 790 Adventure R and discovered some interesting technical information.
After having presented the Concept 790 Adventure R Prototype at the EICMA fair in Milan last year, KTM has now released the first official photo of a ready-made motorcycle. Although the serial model will surely be different in some detail, the muddy motorcycle on these photos is a pretty good announcement of what is what we ca expected of KTM 790 ADVENTURE R. Everything was revealed at this year’s European Adventure Rally held in Sardinia, where KTM 790 Adventure R was an honorary guest and an active participant. From what it is to discern under the dirt layer, the serial model will be very similar to the Prototype concept, but there are still some changes (to the better) in the part that refers to the mascot around the recognizable Adventure Light.

All of this has been coupled with some technical information by KTM, which confirms what has already been assumed. So, the 790 ccm double cylinder will be “reprogrammed” in comparison to the one that is already embedded on the 790 Duke, in order to gain more torque. This means that you will probably have less than 105 hp what have the 790 Duke, but we do not expect to drop below 95 hp, as are the (less) adventurous models of BMW and Triumph have.

The seat will not be too high to ensure control over site and heavy terrain maneuvers, and the fuel tank will be low-pitched and placed on the hips, as usual on rally motorcycles. This will lower the center of gravity, while at the same time gaining enough bulk to achieve the 400 km long promised autonomy with a full fuel tank. Driving ergonomics will be fully adjustable, just like the suspension signed by WP, and it should be really long stroke. The spokes wheels will be fitted with genuine off-road tires. Although apparently it is a motorcycle and for a more demanding off-road, the KTM 790 Adventure R will have very strong brakes with double front discs and 4-spoke radial jaws, with the option of offering off-road ABS versions as well. The motorcycle will be equipped with numerous electronic aids, which will also provide information from the slope sensor, and complete lighting will be implemented in LED technology.

We will have to wait a little longer, maybe at the beginning of October at the fair in Cologne, we see the final version of this motorcycle, with orange graphics and all technical data. Then look at the photos, there are some photos of KTM 790 Adventure R Prototype too.
