
The current champion of Moto GP Mark Marquez was the fastest in the first training session for the Grand Prize of the Netherlands at the Circuit Assen.
Marquez finished the best lap for 1: 34.227 and remained in front of driver Jamaha Maverick Viñales (1: 34.404) and Valentino Rossi (1: 34.513).

The first training in the Netherlands also marked the fall of Jorge Lorenzo, who lost control of bike in training and discharged the track. He had, for the first time, the fastest lap to export to 1: 34.811, which in the end was enough for the seventh position.

In front of him were Jack Miller with 1: 34.548, Andrea Dovizioso with 1: 34.637 and Andrea Iannone 1: 34.684, and behind Franco Morbidelli with 1: 34.820, Cal Crutchlow with 1: 34.898 and Danilo Petrucci with 1: 35.037.
