The new, fully electric model of the company MINI has recently been photographed without a large part of the camflash.
The fully electric MINI should start selling next year, and even though it does not yet have an official name, it is known that its goal will be to continue the success of the MINI E, launched ten years ago. What may be more important is that this new model represents the next step in MINI electrification plans.
Since the new model is still a few months away from the official premiere, the company has not yet revealed specific details about it, and it has just published two teaser photos.
In the photos we see two components that will be found on the serial model. This is a unique front bezel that is completely obscured, since electrical models do not need a mask (grid) as for the SUS models. Despite this change, the mask will have a recognizable hexagonal shape, as well as yellow details that will differ from standard models.
The second sketch reveals the design of the wheels, which will be one of the main features in which the electric MINI will be recognizable. The design of the wheels was taken from a concept that was introduced last year, and looks very similar to the plus (+) sign.
As we stated, the MINI continues to be very scarce on information about the new model, but earlier reports have suggested that this model will have a powertrain that debuted in the concept of the BMW iX3 concept.
That model had batteries with a capacity of 70 kilowatt-hours, and an electric motor that develops 266 horsepower. However, if it does so, the MINI will almost certainly have low capacity batteries with regard to the dimensions of both cars.
