Honda has prepared a completely redesigned Honda CBR 650R for the coming year, which will replace the previous CBR 650F. The Honda CBR 650R is more of a sports motorcycle than the F version, but it’s not a complete supersport model like the Kawasaki ZX6R or the Yamaha R6.
The first generation of 1998 – 150 hp, 177 kg
In the late nineties, Yamaha leaders wanted to build a sports motorcycle that would compete with Honda Fireblade. The design and engineering team were tasked to build a motorcycle that will be powered with an aggregate of approximately 1000 cubic centimeters and at least 150 horsepower, with best possible handling and a maximum weight of 180 kilos without fluids. So, it was a serious task.
Sports motorcycles with engines of 600 cm³ volume have been stagnating for years for technical improvements. The last major change has been made by Yamaha with the R6 model, and maybe MV Agusta with F3 675. Kawasaki was the dominant motorcycle manufacturer in the supersport class for several years, and the slightly improved ZX6R comes next year.
This year, Yamaha R1 celebrated 20 years of existence, since first R1 was seen the day of the day in 1998. In this honor, Yamaha has prepared a special GYTR version YZF-R1 for the following year.

After so called accidentally leaking a footage with details of the new BMW R1250GS for 2019, BMW officially announced the technical characteristics of the aggregate and the dimensions of the motorcycle.
Since it was first introduced, as the youngest member of the Yamaha R family, model YZF-R125 was at the top of the list of best-selling small motorcycles. Now, the youngest brother R1 evolved and got not only a new face, but also a new aggregate.
As the name suggests in the new Enduro Multistrada, it will have the Testastretta DVD 1262 aggregate that has found it’s way from xDiavel to the Multistrada line. This means that the new Multistrada Enduro will have 156KS and 128Nm of torque from V-Twin aggregates with a variable valve system. This aggregate in Multistrada is Ducati’s direct response to the new BMW R1250GS, which also received an increased volume of aggregates and a variable valve system. As with the “ordinary” Multistrada 1260, also the Enduro version will have 85% of the torque available at 3500 rpm, so we can expect an excellent throttle response, especially in low and medium range of revs.
