Porsche 919 EVO takes record in 5:19.55


The Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo has become the fastest car on the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife, surpassing beating the previous best result for 52 seconds.


After several attempts, Timo Bernhard had a lap on this track for 5 minutes and 19.55 seconds, breaking down the record in May 1983, which was 6 minutes and 11.13 seconds, which also set up a Porsche racing car – model 956 C.

Although this performance and progress over the 35-year-old best track time seems unlikely, it is believed that EVO

car is able to improve a new record in less than 5 minutes, and it is estimated that it is even able to cross the Nordschleife circuit in 4 minutes 51 seconds.

The Porsche 919 Hybrid EVO the newest best-selling hybrid drive with nearly 1,200 horsepower and weighs only 849 kg.The car uses special Michelin pneumatic tires and generates more force of downforce than the Formula 1 car.
