
Although the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe model is officially introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March, it does not mean that the German manufacturer has completed all the work on it.
In fact, the development of this model runs, in all probability, until the last moment, until the moment it arrives at the sales car shops.
The reason for these tests is two clear goals. Namely, Mercedes wants to make some fine adjustments on its new model, and also wants to make sure it’s all in good order, as its sales start in a couple of weeks.
Mercedes-AMG wants this model to attract buyers looking for a sports sedan car equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Also, this GT 4-Door Coupe will inherit the AMG CLS 63, the third generation of which will not be produced.
Given that the five-door German hockey hub conceals a powerful twin-turbo V8 aggregate that develops 630 horsepower (470kW) and 900 Nm of torque, which are sent to all wheels via a nine-point automatic transmission, this model is without any doubt one of the most reputable cars in its segment.
Specifically, from 0 to 100 km / h, it accelerates for only 3.2 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 315 km / h. This also makes it the most powerful model of Mercedes, of course, if we do not count Project One, but that’s completely different
