One of the brightest cars of Alfa Romeo, 33 Stradale, is again conceived as a modern sports car for the 21st century, and the designer of these design sketches is Patrick Pieplow.
Model 33 Stradale, produced only during the 18 months of the late 1960s, is in the opinion of many, one of the finest cars ever created. Given that the “watch in the eye of the observer” and the tastes are different, we can not claim that his 21st century interpretation of the photos in the gallery above the text is more mature than the original, but it seems to us so.
The most obvious resemblance between the imaginative car from the photo and the original model is in large headlights dominating the front part. The light units have racing-inspired yellow colors and are placed directly above the small air suction hoods. Despite the “narrow” nose, there is also a recognizable Alfa Romeo refrigerator mask.
On the sidelines of “imaginative” cars are considerably different from the original, given that they are dominated by straight lines and aggressive and accentuated angles, while in the original, with the consideration that these were popular curves at that time, the lines were considerably milder and less pronounced.
One of the bitter things this model has kept from the original is the glass roof. Not only does he look great, but also makes the car cabin look more spacious and comfortable.
Looking at the last, we see a couple of light units that are connected to a thin, horizontally placed light bulb. There is also a spoiler that is integrated into the car trunk, as well as a large diffuser that gives the car an aggressive, yet “sexy” design.
Namely, at the beginning of June, representatives of Alfa Romeo have confirmed that they are working on the development of a new super car that will carry the 8C Coupe tag. They emphasized that the car would be inspired by Alfa Romeo racing cars from the 1920s and 1930s, and that it would have an “in the middle” mounted aggregate.
If it looks like this close to this imagined model, we can say that Alfa Romeo will have the right adute in “their hands.”
