The Honda company is currently occupied with the introduction of the CR-V version intended for the European market, where this model will only be available with one VTEC Turbo petrol unit of 1.5 liters.
European customers will be offered the option of dialing between the manual transmission through which the power is sent to either all or front wheels, and a CVT automatic transmission that only comes with a all-wheel drive.
Specifically, when equipped with a six-seater manual transmission, the Honda CR-V for the European market develops 170 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque while the model has an automatic transmission to develop 190 horsepower and 243 Nm of torque.
Despite the fact that the automaker is developing more horsepower, the Honda CR-V with manual transmission has better performance. It reaches 100 km / h in 9.2 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 210 km / h, while the version with automatic transmission up to 100 km / h reaches 10 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 200 km / h.
When it comes to average fuel consumption, official information suggests that this model with the aforementioned aggregate and manual transmission consumes 6.3 liters of gasoline with 100 miles in combined driving and emits 143 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer.
Honda’s representatives have already confirmed the information that this model will not be sold in Europe with the diesel aggregate. Instead, a new hybrid version of the CR-V model will be launched at the beginning of next year, which will feature a two-pole and-VTEC aggregate coupled with an electromotor as well as a special generator.
The fourth generation of the Honda CR-V will be the first generation of this model to be sold in a seven-seat version. The company also states that this model is leading in its segment when it comes to space in the cabin, thanks to the larger bonnet spacing.
In addition to the larger wheelbase, it is 35 millimeters bigger and clearer compared to the previous generation of this model. The all-wheel drive implies that 60% of the torque is delivered to the last wheels, if there is a need for it, the representatives of the Japanese conglomerate added.
It is also alleged that this model is equipped with the latest security systems, which is why it has received five star rating for the Euro NCAP test.
