Mercedes-Benz has announced that the newly introduced new generation A class will get twoaggregates but will not plan a clean electric drive.

Mercedes will allegedly models with a hybrid PHEVS drive called A220e 4Matic and A250e 4Matic.
Both will be a combination of 1.3-liter petrol, developed in co-operation with Daimler and Renault on the electric motor.
The internal combustion engine will allegedly launch the front wheels while the electric motor will be in charge of the rear axle.

The only difference between the A220e and the A250e will be in effect, because the lower-grade gasoline should have 136 hp and a more powerful 163 hp.
The electric motor will have 90 hp in both versions.
There is no announcement that A class with hybrid drive will debut, but it is expected to be the earliest in October at the Paris Motor Show.
The hybrid drive will not only be reserved for the hatchback variant, it could also be found in other compact models such as the B-Class of the MVP and GLB cubic SUVs that are based on the same platform.
