Before officially launching new “baby” SUV T-Cross, Volkswagen has released a new photo on the internet today, and video with detailing design.
This new model of the Volkswagen company is inspired by the T-Cross concept, which was presented at the Paris Motor Show two years ago, and is the smallest SUV model in the German manufacturer’s range based on the same platform as the Polo model.
New photo or a drawing design reveals that the serial version of the T-Cross model will have the latest light units that will be connected to a single horizontal line stretching across the width of the last car. We can also see the subtle spoiler on the roof, the “rails” as well as the more pronounced body lines above the wheels and the door.
On the other hand, video footage reveals several sketches on the front of the car that point to us that the T-Cross will have four-dimensional light fog, but also a headlight and a air-cooler mask that suffices to design the latest generation of the model Tiguan.
When it arrives at car shops around the world, T-Cross will be sold with similar aggregates as well as the larger T-Roc model. Accordingly, a two-liter TSI engine is expected to develop 187 horsepower, a two-liter TDI engine that develops 147 “horses”, as well as a TSI aggregate of 1.5 liters, and TDI aggregates of 1.6 and 2 liters.
This model will only be sold with front-wheel drive, but buyers will be able to choose between six-speed manual transmission and double-clutch transmission.
The VW T-Cross will be the main competitor to models such as Nissan Juke and Peugeot 2008. The German manufacturer has confirmed earlier that this car will be produced in Brazil.
